Overview
The Veterans Affairs office serves as a guide for veterans in Lafayette County. The Veterans Affairs Officer helps veterans get into the VA system, and claim compensations for service-related injuries. Appointments are required to visit the Veterans Affairs office.
Filing a claim
In order to file a claim for compensation, the claimant must have at least 90 days of active service and received their injuries as a result of their service. Veterans wishing to file a claim need to simply bring their DD 214 with them to the Veterans Affairs office during office hours.
