LAFAYETTE COUNTY 2021 APPRAISAL UPDATE

State law requires that all properties be appraised at their true value. The rules and regulations of the Department of Revenue allow this task to be done in 4-year cycles. Lafayette County has completed their 4-year update as required for the year 2021.

The State Index of 1.09 from year 2017 has also increased to 1.14 for year 2021, meaning values will increase from this change.

You are herby notified that the MARKET VALUE of your property has been determined. You may call the Assessor’s Office at 662.234.5562 to get your new valuation.  If you disagree with our valuation, and have evidence to support your claim, such as a recent appraisal of your property or your closing statement with full purchase price, you may call the Assessor’s Office at 662.234.5562 to discuss the valuation. This is the time to object to a value. Valuations will not be changed at tax time. Values will be finalized at the Lafayette County Board of Supervisor’s Meeting on August 16, 2021.

Thank you for your cooperation.
